5 Tips for Good Chi at Your Front Door

If you’ve taken one of my workshops or had a consultation with me, you know that I’m all about the front door!  Yes, this area that doesn’t always seem so important, is actually the mouth of Chi. This is where that amazing beautiful energy enters your home so make sure it’s beaming and ready to be opened to goodness.

Often though, people tell me how they don’t actually use their front door.  This may be true for you too, as we more and more often use the garage door to enter and exit our homes.  Sure it’s sometimes easier and I don’t actually blame you.  When carrying in five bags from the grocery store, I don’t want to walk all the way around to my front door either.  However, I encourage you to come up with a “date with your door” as I call it.  This can be as simple as using your front door to leave and return when on your daily walk.  Take your dog out this door.  Maybe even just pop your head outside every day to check the weather.  Whatever kind of “date” that you have with your door, just make sure that you’re making a point to open and close it every single day.  The goal is to ensure chi flows freely through this area.  Stagnant chi can inhibit good vibes coming your way so make sure it is continually working.

Here are my top 5 Tips for Good Chi at Your Front Door
  1. Ensure there are no cobwebs or debris around your front door
  2. Make sure your doorknob and hinges work easily without squeaking
  3. Make sure that there is plenty of lighting at your entry and your address is easily visible
  4. Add a bright wreath or welcome sign
  5. Ensure any front steps feel safe and are not wobbly
