Have you ever thought about nourishing your kitchen before? Think about it....We are always eating our vegetables, exercising, and trying to get enough sleep to nourish our bodies. This is great, however, we should also be honoring and nourishing our spaces.  When we treat our spaces well they will treat us well in return.

The kitchen is one of my favorite spaces to nourish as its such an important space for our families. It's where we gather together, share a meal and also some laughs. My kitchen table hosts everything from holiday meals  to game nights, chats over a cup of coffee with a friend and even romantic dinners with my husband. What wonderful things happen in your kitchen? Wouldn't you like to give it a bit of nourishment?

Below are my Five Tips to Nourish Your Kitchen

1. Deep Clean - Give your kitchen a thorough cleaning. Go above and beyond taking out the garbage and cleaning the countertops. Dive in and really clean out any old food in the fridge, expired boxed food and deep clean your stove and oven.

2. Freshen Up The Decor - Whether its as simple as a new piece of art for the walls, fresh floral centerpiece, or even a new coat of paint throughout, introduce some fresh new decor to your space.

3. Scent - Nothing smells better than fresh baked apple pie! Using spices or essential oils in your kitchen can be wonderful. Not into the scent of baked goods? I love using sweet orange in my diffuser in my kitchen. It makes the whole room smell fresh and clean.

4. Light - Ensure all lighting in the kitchen works well and replace any spent light bulbs. Also, give any windows in your kitchen a cleaning so they sparkle.

5.Crystals - I love adding crystals throughout the home and yes, I even place some in the kitchen. Chrysoprase, Clear Quartz, Orange Calcite, Rose Quartz, and Jade are my favorites for the kitchen areas.

Now take some time to brainstorm how you can honor and give nourishment to your kitchen. Give it love and it will surely give your family love and nourishment in return.
