Aromatherapy for Good Sleep

​If you’re one to toss and turn all night…listen up! Aromatherapy can make major changes to your sleep.
Lavender essential oil is of course my favorite and one of the most common oils to use for better sleep but below are a few other oils I commonly recommend for anyone with sleep problems. Give them a try!

  • Roman Chamomile - is very calming and relaxing. Keep in mind there are several different types of Chamomile oils, however, Roman Chamomile seems to be the most effective for sleep.
  • Sandalwood – This oil is great when you find your mind is running around on the hamster wheel.
  • Ylang Ylang – I mix this peaceful oil with a little lavender for an amazing scent.
 
Tips for uses:
I add a lavender sachet to the inside of the pillowcases in my guest room. I like to ensure a good night’s sleep for anyone visiting.
A diffuser is a great way to disperse the essential oil into your home.
Adding a few sprays of an aromatherapy spritz to your linens is another way to allow for great sleep.
 
Have fun and don’t be afraid to search online for intoxicating blends you can make with other oils. Once you get started you’ll love experimenting and you'll find that using these oils REALLY helps you unwind and drift off to sleep.
