Arrange Your Bedside Table for Good Feng Shui

Picture
I just love to read before going to sleep.  I get my pajamas on, snuggle in with my dog and enjoy some quiet time reading.  It really helps me relax after a long day and I always sleep so much better when I take this time for myself.  Sometimes I’ll read more than one book at a time and then I’ll even flip through a magazine too. Before long I have a pile of reading material right next to where I sleep.  I know this isn’t good for restful sleep, so I make a point just before I turn off the light to relocate these books to a reading nook in the next room.  Sure it’s not fun to climb out of my warm bed, but it’s worth it for a great night’s sleep.  By having piles of reading materials next to your bed it discourages restful sleep. You’ll subconsciously have “to-do” items next to you for eight hours why you're trying to recharge.

Your bedside table should only have items that encourage restful sleep such as the following.....

Essential Oils - Any calming and restful oils are great

Sleep Mask - These are wonderful if you require total darkness

Necessities - We all need things such as glasses, tissues, lip balm and such nearby

One final note about electronics....
I  encourage you to not collect electronics in this space.  This is not a place for phones, tablets and laptops.  If you use a sound machine, place it across the room.  Place your alarm clock several feet away from your body to ensure not only less EMF’s, but it also is a great way to force yourself out of bed in the morning.  You can only pull the covers over your head so long while that alarm is going off across the room!

Now go take a few minutes to makeover your bedside table. Good Luck!
