Is your home filled with meaningful pieces or are they simply pieces to take up space? Often clients have things in their home that they recieved as gifts and no longer love. With having these types of things around, you're taking up valuable space for other treasures that may be really impactful. I'm continually encouraging clients to fill their homes with family heirlooms, meaningful artwork, special pieces of furniture and travel treasures that give them that warm fuzzy feeling. Go ahead and surround yourself by special things that you love and have meaning to you, and pass on pieces that don't. Check out this recommendation from my Feng Shui teacher LuAnn Cibik: "Look Past the Surface - In order for an object to be in your home, you need to both use it and love it. Love might seem an overstatement for the vacuum cleaner, but you most certainly love what it does for you. However, things that might be beautiful, but have a sad memories attached might be better moving along to someone else. Program your space with things that bring you joy... and joy will fill your life." Take some time this week to walk through your home and take notice if there are things that are not worthy of being in your home and around the positive energy you're looking to create.
