So you were at a boutique and spotted a Space Clearing Spray and picked it up. Maybe you snagged a bottle from my recent batch. Now what exactly do you do with it???
Here are some nuts and bolts of these magical sprays. They are really great to have around as they're portable and you can easily take them with you in your car or purse. They're convenient to use in places where you can't burn anything or play loud instruments to cleanse the space. And finally, I love them because they're easy to use and very small investment.
Let's start with where to get a spray...
You can find them online (I've found some great ones on Etsy), also at boutiques, summer markets and people who perform Energetic Space Clearings like me, often like to have several on hand. My main suggestion when purchasing a spray is to find one that REALLY resonates with you. Make sure that you love the seller or at least what they represent, make sure that you like the bottle, label, spritzer, and yes, the scent. This all may seem silly but I feel EVERY aspect of clearing spray is connected to the energy it exudes and it HAS to resonate with you.
What is in a spray...
It can be a variety of blends in the spray depending on the creator and what they feel they want their spritz to represent. Often they begin with purified water, witch hazel or alcohol and then add a blend of essential oils. I always like to use White Sage in mine along with some other oils. (Note that White Sage is often a bit more difficult to find and is not the same as Sage which smells a bit sweeter). You may also find additional items used to enhance the spray. I personally use Moon Water and also give Reiki energy to each bottle I make along with a lot of LOVE. I've also seen some with crystals added inside the bottle but I have never personally done this.
Where to use a spray...
Sprays are great to use in places where you can't burn herbs or use sound tools like an office space. Depending on the essential oils used, the scents can be light and often you can mist your office space and no one will hardly notice (except for the good feeling afterward). I also use mine in my car and around my body. If you're in your car often and calling on businesses or individuals a spray can be a great tool to keep you grounded and feeling good. (See below for my bonus of how I cleanse my energy after a client meeting)
How long they'll last...
It often depends on the type of bottle and quality of ingredients, however, if its in a darkened (not clear) glass bottle and high quality oils you should have a good six months to use the spray. Just give it a gentle shake prior to using to ensure all the elements are well mixed.
How much they'll typically cost...
Again, this will most likely depend on the quality of the products used to create the spray, from the vessel to the ingredients and time to make the mixture. I don't think there is a need to spend more than $20, however, be wary of anything under $10. That $15-$18 for a nice 4 oz. seems to be the sweet spot.
If you want to get your hands on a spray, message me as I do have a couple left from my most recent batch or head to Etsy or some local boutiques to find a wonderful spray. Enjoy and have fun experimenting with and using these magical tools to cleans the energy of your body and your spaces!
Bonus: How I cleanse my own energy after a client meeting
Often I meet with clients because they're struggling with something. I often get called in after a divorce, illness, or other negative event. This type of negative energy can really build up and before you know it you're heading home exhausted and cranky. After time in a client's home or office I'll typically stand outside my car and mist a few times around my energy field to cleanse myself. I especially love when I have time to stop at a park between client meetings. I'll stand out in the fresh air, mist myself and dance around in it, and then enjoy some time walking in the grass or leaning next to a tree. I know you'll feel like a new person after doing this.
