Three Ways to Make Spring Cleaning Fun

Spring cleaning can seem like an overwhelming task.  You feel like you have so much to do and don’t know where to even begin.  Below are three of my tricks to make spring cleaning a little more fun.  Yes, being organized and having a plan of attack is awesome, now let’s make it fun!

1. Scent – Nothing makes scrubbing countertops, floors, and tubs better than a scrumptious scent.  Find a great natural cleaning product with a scent that really resonates with you.  Another option is to make your own cleaning products using essential oils. (Here are my favorite essential oils.)

2. Color – Just prior to beginning my spring cleaning routine I pick up some visual inspiration.  I score some adorable new throw pillows for my sofa, perhaps a cozy new throw or picture with a vibrant image, and add a few different bouquets of flowers around my home.  I always opt for bright bouquets in pinks, yellows and oranges to make the room even more cheerful.  By having these beautiful views as you're cleaning you can't help but feel positive about what you're doing.

3. Sound – Spend 20 minutes prior to cleaning and create a “Cleaning Playlist”.  I add my favorite upbeat songs to a playlist that I can crank up and jam out to while cleaning.  Yes,  you may even turn into that gal dancing around with the mop!  Just have fun and you'll be done before you know it.

Do you have any fun tips of how you make spring cleaning fun?
